You can use code Fleece20 for 20% off your order!

First up is the Lemon Poundcake Head To Toe Whipped Body Butter. This product features a Shea Butter base with a special blend of oils including argon oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, grapeseed oil, and olive oil. The Lemon Poundcake scent contains lemon essential oil and vanilla fragrance oil.

Also releasing on March 1 are the following scents: Orange Creamsicle with orange essential oil and vanilla fragrance oil, Lavender with lavender essential oil and vanilla fragrance oil, and Eucalyptus Mint with eucalyptus essential oil and vanilla fragrance oil. Head To Toe Whipped Body Butter is available in three sizes: 2 oz. ($7.00), 4 oz. ($12.00) and 8 oz. ($20.00). All of these scents will also be available in the Head To Toe Hair & Body Oil product.

The Head To Toe Whipped Body Butter is an amazing product. It’s solid in the container but it melts like butter once applied to skin. It glides on smoothly and moisturizes well. Even my dry winter skin felt soft and smooth after applying this product. The Lemon Poundcake scent smells delicious.

Next up is the So Kissed chapstick which contains soybean oil, beeswax, sunflower seed oil, cocoa seed butter, shea butter fruit, vitamin E acetate, aloe vera, and may also contain FD&C flavoring and color. I received the original (unscented/unflavored) So Kissed chapstick. It glides on smoothly and hydrates very well. This retails for $1.50 per tube and is available in original and vanilla.

I also received these beautiful multichrome rainbow hoop earrings. These are for pierced ears and retail for $15.00. These earrings are so fun and colorful. I can’t wait to show them off this spring and summer!

Heaven Scent – Roll-On Perfume – March Polish Pickup

Disclaimer: This product was provided to me for a review.

I’m excited to share with you my review of Heaven Scent’s Roll-On Perfume in the scent of Cherry-iots of the Gods.

This will be available for purchase March 6 at 10AM CST through March 9 at 11PM CST. This perfume will sell for $9.00 and has no cap.

For March’s theme of Ancient History, Shauna chose to go with a bit of humor – Ancient Aliens! One of the presenters on this television show is Erich von Daniken, the author of Chariots of the Gods? which is the book Shauna used for her inspiration. One version of the book cover features an image of the Mayan astronaut, King Pakal.

The perfume is called Cherry-iots of the Gods and the label features a line art drawing of King Pakal.

1583013207503

1583013426038

The perfume scent is described as an in-your-face black cherry explosion! It smells just like maraschino cherries to me. It’s slightly sweet but if you like cherries, you should love this! The scent is long lasting; I applied it in the morning and could still notice it several hours later. The dark red shimmer and mica sparkle and swirl beautifully in the bottle. The roller ball moves smoothly and makes it very easy to apply.

Made with jojoba oil, fragrance oil, and mica.

Heaven Scent – Roll-On Perfume – January Polish Pickup

Disclaimer: This product was provided to me for a review.

I’m excited to share with you my review of Heaven Scent’s Roll-On Perfume in the scent of Pisces Drowning.

This will be available for purchase January 3 at 10AM CST through January 6 at 11PM CST. This perfume will sell for $10.50 (slightly higher than usual due to the amethyst roller balls) with a cap of 36.

For January’s theme of Written in the Stars, Shauna chose Pisces as her inspiration (she is a Pisces). This perfume is a beautiful shimmery purple and includes a gorgeous amethyst roller ball to represent February’s birthstone.

The picture on the bottle is Shauna’s own artwork of two koi fish. Also, the name “Pisces Drowning” comes from a 12 book series she once planned on writing. Since she never wrote it, she felt it was a shame to let the title go to waste.

The perfume is scented in Aruba Coconut, Salty Sea Air, and a hint of Baja Lime. It’s the perfect blend of tropical aromas that make me miss summer so much! The strongest note for me was coconut. It’s slightly sweet but the salty sea air and hint of lime compliment it well. The scent is long lasting; I applied it in the morning and could still notice it several hours later. The purple shimmer and mica sparkle and swirl; it looks like a nebula in the bottle! The amethyst roller ball is not only eye-catching but makes it very easy to apply.

Made with jojoba oil, fragrance oil, and mica. Mica should leave behind some glittery sparkles with the shimmer (two types of mica were used for this effect).

*Please Note: amethyst will be of varying quality. Not all will be dark purple.

Heaven Scent – Roll-On Perfume

Disclaimer: This product was provided to me for a review.

I’m excited to share with you my review of Heaven Scent Roll-On Perfume in the scent of Winter – The First Crow.

Winter was inspired by the character named Winter from the web toon “Rise from Ashes”.

This will be available for purchase December 2 at 10AM CST through December 6 at 11PM CST. $9.00 and no cap!

Winter is a ghost, a ghost that loves her house. She is a weak ghost, a wisp, until people come trespassing into her house. Then she shows how strong she really is. It turns out that Winter isn’t really just a wisp but the Ghost of the First Crow, an order of physics that manage and/or exorcise ghosts. Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger while the creator went on maternity leave.

Winter – The First Crow is scented in lemon, orange, grapefruit, apple, clove, cinnamon, cassia bark, cardamom, ginger, carrot, nutmeg, vanilla, buttercream, and maple. It smells very Christmassy.

This perfume has a wonderful scent. The strongest notes for me were cinnamon and nutmeg. It’s sweet but not cloying. The scent is long lasting; I applied it in the morning and could still notice it several hours later. The blue shimmer gives it a beautiful glow in the bottle but it’s very subtle on the skin. The rollerball makes it very easy to apply.

Shauna has owned Heaven Scent Treasure Candies for 4 years. She opened for sales late in 2015. While she specializes in jewelry hidden in candles and wax melts, she has branched off into plain wax melts and roll-on perfume. She also makes soaps and is planning to expand into lotions and other body care.

Slipper Socks

Today’s post is about my latest knitting project. A few months ago, I discovered a hole in the bottom of my favorite pair of slipper socks. I loved these socks – they were soft, warm, purple and slightly too big so I could kick them off if my feet got too hot. I searched for a new pair at various stores but I couldn’t find any that were a perfect replacement.

And then I realized that I was wasting time trying to find socks when I could just make my own. I’m a knitter…I could choose the yarn, the color and size them to my feet! I just needed a pattern so I googled “knitted slipper sock pattern” and found this pattern…

Slipper Socks

The pattern was simple enough to follow. I found the perfect yarn from my stash and started knitting. I used Bernat Baby Blanket yarn. It’s slightly chunky and so soft. I wasn’t sure how the first sock would turn out but I just kept knitting and checking the measurements until it was done. The second sock was much easier and I finished my pair in a couple of weeks. Since these were just for me, I didn’t worry about fixing errors or uneven gauge. I was extremely pleased with my socks. They are soft, warm and big enough to slip off under my blanket. I showed my husband the finished product and he requested a pair.

For his pair, I knit the pattern in stockinette instead of garter and I kept my gauge mostly even. I measured the length of his foot from heel to toe and adjusted the circumference of the sock to fit his leg. Here is what the sock looks like after knitting but before sewing up the back edge, front edge and toe. The red line indicates where I folded the sock in half to sew the edges.

20190224_112733

And here is the sock after sewing the edges and turning it purl-side out.

20190224_113354

I’m going to use puffy paint to create treads on the bottom of his socks as we have hardwood flooring and the socks are a bit slippery. These socks were a fun and easy project and our feet are nice and warm!

Thanks for reading!
